Safety & Compliance Officer

Solomon & Company (St Helena) Plc is seeking a Safety & Compliance Officer to oversee and support safety, compliance, and environmental management across the Company.

In this role, you will plan, implement, and monitor Health & Safety and compliance processes, ensuring all operations meet legal, regulatory, and company standards.

Salary: £18,513 – £20,000 per annum (depending on experience)

What we’re looking for:

  • IOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety / Compliance role
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Grade C or above in English & Maths (or equivalent)
  • Confident using Microsoft applications
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Experience in reporting, data analysis, and compliance monitoring
  • Knowledge of food safety practices (desirable)
