Junior Ramp Handlers & Junior Security Officers – Part-Time

Solomon & Company (St Helena) Plc has an exciting opportunity for 16–17-year-olds to join our part-time airport operations teams as Junior Ramp Handlers or Junior Security Officers.
These roles provide an opportunity to gain practical experience in airport operations, develop valuable skills, and work alongside experienced team members while working towards a future role as a fully trained Part-Time Ramp Handler or Security Officer.
Working hours will be based on flight operations and training requirements, including weekdays and weekends.
Rate of pay: £5.00 per hour

- Commitment to completing the required training
- Interest in working in an airport environment and developing new skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Calm and accurate approach to work
- Adaptable and able to multitask in changing environments
- Friendly and comfortable engaging with different people
- Good standard of English and ICT
Open Day
An Open Day will be held at St Helena Airport in August 2026, with the date to be confirmed.
This will be an opportunity to find out more about the Junior roles, meet members of the team and management, and learn more about the training programmes.
