General Assistant (Bread Production)

Solomon & Company (St Helena) Plc is seeking a General Assistant to join the Bakery team, supporting the preparation and production of bread and related products.

You will play a key role in maintaining quality, hygiene, and efficiency in day-to-day bakery operations.

Salary: £11,940 per annum (£995 per month)

What we’re looking for:

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Knowledge of food production, hygiene, and Health & Safety (desirable)
• Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks and stand for extended periods
• Ability to multitask and follow instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to meet production deadlines
• Willingness to work unsocial hours

Key duties include:

• Preparing dough and bakery products following recipes
• Operating production equipment as required
• Packaging and delivering products
• Following instructions accurately and working as part of a team
• Carrying out cleaning and hygiene duties to a high standard
