Bakery Assistant (Packaging)

Solomon & Company (St Helena) Plc is recruiting a Bakery Assistant (Packaging) to support the slicing, packaging, and handling of bakery products.

You will also assist with cleaning, maintenance, and ensuring all work meets health, safety, and hygiene standards.

Salary: £8,320 per annum (£160 per week) – 30 hours per week

What we’re looking for:

• Basic numeracy and literacy skills
• Experience or knowledge of food production, hygiene, and Health & Safety (desirable)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Ability to carry out manual handling and repetitive tasks
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Confidence using production equipment
• Willingness to assist with cleaning and general duties
• Team player with a positive, energetic approach
• Flexibility to work unsocial hours when required
