Artisan

Solomon & Company (St Helena) Plc is seeking an Artisan to join the Building Works Department.

In this role, you will carry out a variety of skilled trade tasks, helping to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Salary: £12,252 per annum (£1,021 per month), depending on qualifications and experience

What we’re looking for:

• Competency in Maths & English
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in carpentry, painting, or construction (desirable)
• At least 2 years’ experience in the trade industry
• Health & Safety awareness with the ability to carry out risk assessments
• Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used within the trade industry
• Skills in construction, repair, restoration, refurbishment, or new builds
• Ability to operate power and hand tools safely
• Ability to read technical drawings and plans
• Ability to estimate materials and assess job requirements
• A clean, valid driver’s licence (Classes A & C)
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
