Assistant BFI Manager

Solomon & Company (St Helena) Plc is seeking an Assistant BFI Manager to join the Bulk Fuel Installation team.

In this role, you will support the BFI Manager with the day-to-day operation of the Bulk Fuel Installation and deputise for the Manager when required. You will help maintain safe and efficient fuel operations while supporting staff, administration, compliance and maintenance activities.

Salary: £16,596 per annum (£1,383 per month)

What we’re looking for:
• Proven experience within bulk fuel storage, distribution and handling, or a similar environment
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and a commitment to promoting a positive safety culture
• GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Excellent ICT skills
• Strong leadership skills with experience coaching and developing a team
• Ability to undertake administrative duties, including report writing
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
• Analytical approach with strong technical skills and sound decision-making ability
• Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
• A valid Class C driver’s licence
• Knowledge of the general maintenance of fuel equipment and facilities
• Flexibility to work outside normal working hours when required
